And one area which has seen these shift is in the million dollar plus market.  After four straight years of declines, sales of million-dollar homes and condos rose last year in all 20 major metro areas, according to DataQuick Information Systems. It’s a fact that when Wall Street goes up, rich people buy homes - And Wall Street has gone up! : Stock values have nearly doubled from their March 2009 lows. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The value of these luxury  homes have fallen in recently years plus getting a mortgage in these luxury homes is less expensive.  In 2009 buyers of high-end homes paid 1.8 percentage points more in interest than the average buyer. We have been blessed with beautiful weather so far but as temps begin to dip, you need to start thinking about winterizing your sprinkler system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last year, a lot of homeowners suffered serious damage because the weather took an early and unexpected dip.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You soon need to be scheduling a winterization, however you can also protect the backflow device from an early freeze. These precautions protect from those early freezes and still allow you to run your sprinkler system. &lt;br /&gt;- Turn the valve handle at a 45 degree angle. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Wrap the device with a towel. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Then wrap everything with a plastic bag that you tape or secure in place. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After you have stopped watering for the year and before your system is winterized, take these additional precautions before winter sets in. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Drain the backflow so there is no water in the backflow device. Colorado lawmakers chose the age of eight as a minimum.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Up until the age 13, a child should remain in the back seat of the car, secured in the seat belt. A parent might consider moving a child at age 13 to the front seat of a vehicle. Fullaway says that is the minimum age recommended by car makers and manufacturers of air bags. The museum was first opened in 1890 in various locations but opened its own gallery on 14th in 1949. In 1971 they opened the North Building followed by the 146,000-square-foot Hamilton Building which opened to the public October 7, 2006.&lt;br /&gt;The Hamilton Building's design recalls the peaks of the Rocky Mountains and geometric rock crystals found in the foothills near Denver. "I was inspired by the light and the geology of the Rockies, but most of all by the wide-open faces of the people of Denver," says Libeskind. Last week, 31 homes valued between $500,000 and $4 million went into foreclosure, including four over $1 million, said Ron Woodcock, a broker with Re/Max Southeast who tracks foreclosures. Much of the problem stems from the inability of potential buyers to obtain "jumbo" loans - financing above $417,000. Short sales of homes over $1 million were up 433% between 2008 and 2009 - from three to 16 sales. "We expect to see that the number of luxury distressed sales will continue to increase dramatically in 2010," said Lon Welsh, managing broker of Your Castle Real Estate.
